5 Mile Run/Walk in Scenic Robertson County Tennessee


This timed event starts at 7AM sharp on the first Saturday in June. Run or walk the gently rolling hills on a 5 mile, USATF Certified course. The loop includes a portion of the Original Route of the Historic Trail of Tears, is 99% paved, and is mostly shaded. 


The Barrel Fest 5 Mile Run/Walk starts and ends at Coopertown City Hall, located at 2525 Burgess Gower Rd., Springfield, TN 37172. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate! Finishers receive a participation medal.

Enjoy Local Vendors, Food Trucks & Live Music


After the 5 Mile race is over, stay for food, music, and fun at the Annual Coopertown Barrel Festival! This family- and pet-friendly event offers something for everyone! It starts at 9AM and goes until 1PM. The festival will be held at Coopertown Elementary School, located at 3746 Hwy 49 W., Springfield, TN 37172. Parking and entry into the festival are FREE! 


Barrel Festival attendees can shop local vendors, listen to live music from local artists, and enjoy snacks and refreshments from various food trucks. Kids will love playing in the Kid Zone! Limited-edition Barrel Festival apparel and accessories will be available for purchase too.

Coopertown is a beautiful area nestled in middle Tennessee, about halfway between Clarksville and Nashville. The peace and quiet offered in our rolling hills is second to none. We're just 35 minutes from downtown Nashville, but there's so much to see around here, you might not even make it there!
