              I.      Call to Order
 
Chairman Rettaliata called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. on December 18, 2006 in the Town Hall located at 2525 Burgess Gower Road.
 
 
            II.      Roll Call
 
The following Board of Zoning Appeals members were present:
 
                  Robert Dale Anderson, Alderman
                  Donnie Gill, Alderman
                  Brian M. Rettaliata, Chairman
                  Richard Crutcher, Member (joined late)
Ron Cooper, Representative, Tennessee Department of   
                     Economic and Community Development
Bo Logan, Representative, Tennessee Department of
                  Economic an Community Development
                  Absent:
                                   
                                    Danny Crosby, Mayor
 
          III.      New Business
 
A.     Approval of Minutes from prior meetings:
 
Chairman Rettaliata asked for comments and/or corrections to the Minutes from the Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting held on June 20, 2006. No comments or corrections were offered. A motion to waive reading of the minutes and approve as presented was made by Alderman Gill and seconded by Alderman Anderson. By a voice vote the minutes were unanimously approved.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
         IV.      Old Business:
 
There was no old business to discuss.
 
           V.      Discussion:
 
There were no topics for discussion.
 
 
         VI.      Adjournment:
 
A motion for adjournment was made by Alderman Gill and seconded by Alderman Anderson. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

JUNE 20, 2006

I.      Call to Order

 

Chairman Rettaliata called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on June 20, 2006 in the City Hall located at 2525 Burgess Gower Road.

 

 

II.      Roll Call

 

Edmund Niec, City Recorder conducted a roll call. The following

Board of Zoning Appeals members were present:

 

                  Danny Crosby, Mayor

                  Donnie Gill, Alderman

                  Brian M. Rettaliata, Chairman

                  Robert Dale Anderson, Member

                  Richard Crutcher, Member

                  Ron Cooper, Representative, Tennessee Department of   

                  Economic and Community Development

                  Bo Logan, Representative, Tennessee Department of

                  Economic an Community Development

 

III.      New Business

 

A.     Approval of Minutes from prior meetings:

 

Chairman Rettaliata asked for comments and/or corrections to the Minutes from the Board of Zoning Appeals Meetings held on 10/18/05, 11/15/05, 3/21/06, 4/18/06 and 5/16/06. No comments or corrections were offered. A motion that the Minutes be approved as presented was made and seconded. The City Recorder conducted a roll call and the Minutes were unanimously approved.

 

B.     Election of Vice Chairman and Secretary:

 

Chairman Rettaliata opened the floor for nominations for the position of Vice Chaiman. A motion was made and seconded to nominate Mr. Anderson. The motion passed unanimously. There being no further nominations a motion was made that the nominations for Vice Chairman be closed. The motion passed unanimously. Chairman Rettaliata asked for a vote. The City Recorder called the roll. Mr. Anderson was elected unanimously. Chairman Rettaliata opened the floor for nominations for the position of Secretary. There being no nominations Chairman Rettaliata indicated he would serve as Secretary.

 

C.    Rodger Elliott, Zoning Variance:

 

Mr. Rodger Elliott, 4223 Old Coopertown Road appeared to request a
zoning variance to operate a fruit and vegetable stand at 2229 Old Coopertown Road,
which is currently zoned AG. A discussion was held between Mr. Elliott and members
of the BZA regarding the nature of the items he intended to sell at the proposed stand.
He was advised that other than fruits and vegetables the items he was contemplating
selling would not meet the criteria outlined for a zoning variance. Mr. Elliott
then withdrew his request.

 

D.    Ms. Kelly Lawing, Temporary Zoning:

 

Ms Kelly Lawing, 1806 Errel Dowlen Road failed to appear to explain the reasons for her
request for temporary zoning  to allow her to store a modular home on her property pending
a final rezoning. Her request was deferred subject to her appearance at a subsequent BZA
meeting.

 

IV.      Old Business:

A motion for adjournment was made and seconded . The meeting was
