MEETING MINUTES

December 18, 2007

  1. Call to Order

 

II. Pledge of Allegiance

    1. Roll Call: Terri Brown conducted roll call. The following were present:

Public Forum:

None

VI Waive the oral reading of the minutes of the Mayor and Board of Alderman meeting for November 27, 2007. Motion made by Alderman Gill to accept and seconded by Alderman Anderson. The vote was as follows:

Alderman Ruth: No

Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes

Alderman Gill: Yes

VII Reports from Committees:

None

VIII Old Business:

Mayor Crosby informed the board of the quote we received from Incode Solutions regarding the different terms that were available for us to use when purchasing the computer software for the City Recorder. Alderman Muhlstadt made a motion we accept the 48 month payment terms of $732.05 each month with the first months payment to begin 7/1/2008. Motion was seconded by Alderman Gill. The vote was as follows:

Alderman Ruth: No

Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes

Alderman Gill: Yes

IX New Business:

Mayor Crosby informed the board he would like ALL records from the Ouster Petition to be published on the cities website for all citizens to read. Alderman Ruth asked if items were found missing would they be added. Mayor Crosby stated Yes, corrections would be made. Motion made by Alderman Gill to publish the records and seconded by Alderman Muhlstadt. The vote was as follows:

Alderman Ruth: Yes

Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes

Alderman Gill: Yes

Mayor Crosby approached the board with issues regarding In-Service training by the cities police officers. Each year the officers are required to have 40 hours of in-service training for the POST. It was brought to the Mayors attention that the city pays for the in-service as well as the officers are getting a supplemental check from the State & weekly payroll check from the city while in training. Mayor feels they should only receive their weekly payroll check and the supplemental check should be turned into the city. Motion made by Alderman Gill to pay the officers their weekly pay with the city getting the supplemental check and seconded by Alderman Muhlstadt. The vote was as follows:

Alderman Ruth: Yes

Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes

Alderman Gill: Yes

Ordinance 2007-26: Amend article VI, "The Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Coopertown" by amending article VI, overlay districts. Motion made by Alderman Anderson to amend the zoning ordinance and was seconded by Alderman Gill. The vote was as follows:

Alderman Ruth: Yes

Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes

Alderman Gill: Yes

X. Communications from the Mayor:

  1. Pavement project on Errel Dowlen just about complete and will begin on McMahan Hollow road next
  2. There are a few more culvert pipes to replace on McMahan Hollow before we begin the paving process
