Effective January 1, 2012 Coopertown adopted the 2012 International Building Code, including, but not limited to, the International Residential Code and International Fire Code which now require all new residential single & double family dwellings (including trailers, double wides, manufactured and modular homes) be equipped with a fire preventive sprinkler system. A Springfield Water Department engineer will complete a site visit, at no charge, prior to a building permit being issued by the Town of Coopertown.
Effective May 5, 2010 Builders in Coopertown are Required to Obtain a Driveway Permit. A Driveway Inspection Must be Obtained Prior to a Building Permit Being Issued. Driveway Inspection Fee = $25.00. Note: Due to the topography of some parcels in Coopertown an engineer may be required to design a driveway that meets current new construction requirements. The land owner may hire their own engineer or the Town's engineering services can be utilized, at that landowner's expense.
